Delivery & Returns

 
 
Delivery of Products

When we receive your order we advise you of receipt of your order and inform you that as soon as it has been processed we will advise you of an estimated delivery date.  Orders received after 4pm GMT Monday to Thursday and after 3pm on Friday will be processed the next working day.

Most of our products reach our customers in the UK within approximately 1 - 7 working days and outside the UK within approximately 5 - 12 working days depending on location.  However, please note that due to the following factors: hand finished items, luxury items, times of peak demand, delivery address, customs clearance etc.; delivery of our products can take up to 28 working days.
 
Delivery of our products to addresses within the United Kingdom and Eire are 1.00 by Royal Mail. We will inform you of the delivery method in a notification of dispatch date email once your order has been processed.  You will also be able to see this information by logging into your account and viewing order details.
Upgrades to faster delivery methods are available and can be purchased and viewed from your shopping cart.  You may wish to contact us for a ship date of an item or items before choosing a delivery method but as above you will be infomed by email of the dispatch date and you can login to your account to see this information in order details once your order has been processed.

Rest of Europe (EU) tracked to destination country or fully tracked depending on location - 9.99 by Royal Mail International Signed For service

Heavier or bulky items or remote destinations may incur supplementary charges of which you would of course be advised.
 
Returns/Exchanges
We want you to be delighted with your sportsshadesonline.com purchase!  However, if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase you can return it to us for exchange or refund which must be approved by sportsshadesonline.com.  Please notify us within 7 days of receipt of your order.  (Holiday period purchases from 1st November until 23rd December, please contact us by the 14th January).

If you wish to return a product to us please contact us within 7 days of receipt of your order so that we can approve your return.  (Holiday period purchases from 1st November until 23rd December, please contact us by the 14th January). Please use the returns slip and returns address label provided on your invoice when sending us a return.  Upon receiving your return provided this complies with the conditions set out below we will issue you with a refund, exchange or store credit.  Store credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Please make sure your return is well packed and insured for its full value with proof of postage obtained from your Post Office as we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged returns.
 
Refund
For a complete refund to the credit/debit card the purchase was made on we must receive the sportsshadesonline.com merchandise in the condition sold (unused and new) with all original packaging and documentation intact.
 
Store Credit or Return
For a store credit or exchange we must receive the sportsshadesonline.com merchandise in the condition sold (unused and new) with all original packaging and documentation intact. Please fill in, detach and enclose the returns form, which is on the invoice, with your return.

We strongly recommend that you send all items insured and/ or registered when sent through the mail as we cannot take responsibility for packages which we do not ship ourselves.
 
Damage/Defect Claims
Please inspect your purchases immediately upon receipt.  Damage or defect claims must be made within 7 days of package arrival.   Contact us by email for a return authorisation on damaged items and we will process a claim or issue replacement.  In the event of damage caused by shipping, the delivery company may require an inspection, so please retain all packing materials.

We at sportsshadesonline.com put a premium on customer service. Your confidence in us and the service we provide is our primary priority and we believe our returns policy is fair and open.

Exchanges
In the event of an exchange, items are subject to product availability and the customer will be responsible for the postage costs of returning items to be exchanged. We can only exchange an item for a different size, style and colour subject to our stock availability.  All exchange enquiries can be made by contacting enquiries@sportsshadesonline.com with 'EXCHANGE' in your subject heading. Exchanged items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received and undergone a quality control check.
 
How to proceed with your return or exchange
Please  contact us to advise us that you would like to make a return or exchange. 
Indicate whether you would like to make a return or exchange and state the desired item(s), size, colour etc. Exchanges will be subject to our stock availability.
Securely wrap and package the item and fill in, detach and enclose the returns form, which is on the invoice, with your return. Please send to our registered office address.
Please send your return or exchange to: Mayer & Mayer Optometrists Ltd., 7 Grange Road, Southport, Merseyside PR9 9AB.  We strongly recommend that you send all items insured and/ or registered when sent through the mail as we cannot take responsibility for packages which we do not ship ourselves.

Receiving a refund
Once your package has been returned to us within the above stated timeframe, unless otherwise authorized by  sportsshadesonline.com, we will begin to process your refund request. Each item will undergo a quality control check and once verified your refund will be processed in the original payment format as your purchase was made within 30 days of the date of your refund request. All undamaged, correctly returned products will be credited to the original purchaser's credit card, including VAT where applicable, for all EU country customers, but excluding shipping charges. You will be notified via email to the address listed on your account when this transaction has taken place. Please note that your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account once they have received the information from sportsshadesonline.com.

Please note: If we receive your return in a condition which we feel is not fit for exchange or refund we shall get in touch with you to discuss proceedings. sportsshadesonline.com reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange for any item sent back in a condition where the item has been used or damaged. Only Items which sportsshadesonline.com can confirm as new and unused will be eligible for a return or exchange,provided also that they have reached our returns department within the time frame outlined above (unless otherwise agreed). sportsshadesonline.com will not accept returns or exchange goods for any non-faulty items that have been worn, washed and/or with tags removed.

A refund or exchange will not be issued for items which fail to meet our standards set forth above.
 
Seven Day Cooling Off Period
 In addition to our returns policy, under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have 7 working days (beginning the day after receipt) to cancel your purchase. In this case, we provide a full refund on the goods, less relevant delivery charges, but you must return the cancelled items at your own cost.
Your statutory rights are not affected by our returns policy.
